The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde â€Å"Like the painting of a sorrow, A face without a heart.† - Hamlet When I went to the movies, I didn’t expect to be so intrigued by the characters that I would want to read about them individually. â€Å"The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen† had many interesting characters: Mena the vampire, Alan Quartermain the hunter, Skinner the invisible man, Nemo the pirate, Dr. Jekyll the scientist, Tom Sawyer of the CIA, and Dorian Gray the immortal. Out of all the characters, Dorian Gray seemed to have the most interesting story to tell. I didn’t know anything about the book, but when I went to the book store, I asked for anything about Dorian Gray that they might have. I was both embarrassed and surprised when the lady picked out several books and asked which one I wanted. The Picture of Dorian Gray was the story of a man who starts out as an innocent, loving boy, but then he made the â€Å"Devil’s Bargain-- the exchange of one’s external soul for extreme but, alas, temporary gratification.† His sins, pa in, and suffering go into a painting of himself made by his friend, Basil Hallward. Lord Henry Wotton was the older man who began corrupting Dorian and made him more vain and cynical. A big part of the story was the relationship between Dorian and his cursed painting, and I believe the painting has more than one meaning in this book. The first thing the painting reminded one of was a drug addict and his drug. After Dorian brought the painting home and realized that it was aging and he wasn’t, he hid it under a screen. Eventually, he hid it away in a locked room because his servants were curious as to why he had kept it covered. Yet, even though he was ashamed of it, he kept going into the room to study the portrait, such as an addict going back for more supplies.

In the 2nd floor, there where you can find the Food Court which filled with many different kinds of restaurants, Fast food restaurants such as Shack Shack and MacDonald's, Family restaurants such as Chilies, Chinese food restaurants such as Bamboo Garden restaurant and Indian food restaurants such as Maharaja Palace.Dubai mall even includes Mexican food restaurants such as Amrigds and healthy food restaurants such as Subway for those who likes to k eep their selves fit. Finally its worth to mention that Dubai mall includes a very large entertainment place such as Dubai Aquarium And under water Zoo for an amazing experience in he underwater world, The Ice rink , the Shark tunnel, and for sure Cinema with a large screens and more than 2,800 seats for the movie lovers ! its worth to mention that Dubai mall entertainment court includes a fast roller Costar which can give you an unforgettable ride. And near of it there where you can find the Kids Playing Court. To conclude, Dubai Mall is a perfect place to have fun and to spend an unforgettable day, in my opinion the view of the Dancing fountain in the mall is very adorable. It's a perfect place to enjoy and to have a very good shopping experience.

The existence of a variety of hominid species in the fossil record does not provide any evidence that these species are so-called â€Å"transitional species† betwee n the primate and human. Furthermore, the fact that this view is widely held among contemporarily educated people only provides evidence that it is widely taught in educational forums. It provides no evidence of its validity. Why are semantic differences inherent in words like theory, hypothesis, microevolution and macroevolution so important? The answer lies in the implications of improper usage of the term â€Å"evolution† in educational forums. A recent survey of graduate and undergraduate students at four Canadian science colleges provided evidence that widespread acceptance among educated people of macroevolution does not translate into support for the validity of macro-evolutionary notions; but, rather, it merely exemplifies the unquestioning acceptance of what is being presented in classrooms as scientific fact.
